This recording was taken during an Athene noctua study. In order to catch some specimens, we used webs with the bridcall´s sound. There were a lot of athene noctua, so it's not difficult to differenciate the birdcall from the singing of real birds.
The sound, in general, is the typical one on a summer night in the field: wind, insects, birds, some cows... You can also hear, despite the highway´s noise, some human voices. Some of these voices are our own voices making the study, and others came from the town (El Escorial) where they were celebrating some kind of party.
The best things of the nature recordings is when some animal interacts with the microphones....its whats happens around the minute 22 of the track 2....

You can enjoy a very complete catalogue of Athene noctua´s calls: alarm, chicks asking for food, territorial calls....At least,a beautiful "conference of birds"....

You can hear too:

- Oecanthus pellucens
- Platycleis affinis
